On my recent vacation to Sunny Thailand’s beautiful island of Phuket, I stayed in this beautiful  Beach Resort, which was surrounded by acres of stunning gardens and lush green foliage, resembling a Tropical Forest. I had a relaxed time by the swimming pool, basking in the sun and sipping cocktails.

  I wore my favourite High Waisted Polka Dotted Bikini and a Tropical Print Shirt Dress over it. I accessorised my look with long green and gold feather earrings and some coloured hand beads and bangles and wore my comfy White Strappy Wedges.

  I absolutely love the high waisted bikini trend, I adore the Retro Vibe of it. It’s injects a slight vintage feel into otherwise modern swimwear.

  I am also obsessed with one of Spring 2013′s hottest trends; Tropical Prints! This season fashion has taken a trip to the tropics with bright eclectic prints propping up everywhere.

The easy, breezy tropical print trend definitely puts you in the mood to take a beach getaway and so was absolutely fitting for my Thailand Beach Vacation.

    The high-waist bikini bottom offers women who love to wear a two-piece; but the option to have a bit more coverage in the midsection. It also channels the 1950′s glamour and pinup girls such as Marilyn Monroe.

High waisted bottoms give extra coverage to the midriff allowing for this sexy, slimming torso high waist trend to be pulled off effortlessly; just ensure the swimsuit fits flawlessly with your shape. The high waist bottom compliments most top half styles including halter neck, bandeau and underwired so this is a look you can get really versatile. Don’t be afraid to bring out your inner goddess and prepare to bring your pin up style to the table.

For a more subtle look pair printed tops or bottoms with simple minimal pieces.
